Diana lead sock monkey training with students and their families,  bringing stitches, smiles and employable skills training to women and children living in Shanti Camp slum.

The socks for the workshops were donated by Canadian sock manufacturer McGregor socks, who were so genereous in their supply of our mission that the craftivists of Bal Shiksha Kendra Centre will be making monkeys for weeks and months to come!

OSM will be working with partner orgs LIB International and Concern For Humanity to continue to build the skills and create stock to supply LIB’s  Fair Trade Post, an online shop where customers shop for handmade goods from around the world, helping to stimulate global economy by shopping locally. The more sock monkeys stitched, the more smiles we bring, to Shanti Camp and across the miles  🙂
