Sock Eagles take flight
In November we honored those who honor us with their service, with a Sock Eagle workshop hosted by our friends at VET Connect SJSU and special guest facilitator Kat Thorsen, all the way from Vancouver!
The workshop almost didn’t run when the SJSU campus was closed suddenly due to poor air quality in the Bay area from the Butte county fires, but Dr Elena Klaw and her amazing staff sprang into action and found an alternate space. Thanks to the very kind folks at St Paul United in downtown San Jose for sharing their beautiful space.
The Sock Eagles will be distributed to Vets in January via Operation Care and Comfort, and will bring a smile and reminder of our gratitude to brighten the dark winter months.
