Hoopla @ Humberside Collegiate
Monkey high-5’s and woolly bananas are going out to Operatives Julie Zhang and Katrina Darcel of Toronto. These muchachas have demonstrated extreme craftivism and global citizenship, working their tails off to raise money and awareness for OSM in their community.
Earlier this year, Julie & Kat worked together to prep materials and facilitate a sock monkey workshop for their Peer Leadership Group at Humberside Collegiate Institute. They used the leftover materials from the workshop to create more sock monkeys and sold their creations along with other OSM treats at the annual ‘Hoopla’ event, a handmade sale held at the school in June. The money they raised will help send sock monkeys to a summer camp in Delhi, India this August. Congrats ladies, you are an inspiration!
