Sock Polar Bears

A few years back, when I was working at Mirvish Productions and first establishing this project, the kind folks at Honest Ed’s donated a giant box of mens’ white tube socks to the project. As any sock monkey maker knows, the funkier the socks, the better for making monkeys, so I wasn’t immediately inclined to use this pure white sock stock for monkeys. Years later, I still had the box and not a clue what to do with this bevy of fluffy white footwear. Then, it struck me- Polar Bears! I had an improvisational jam session on my sewing machine and- voila!- the Sock Polar Bear was born.
This year, OSM is pleased to present the Make Your Own Sock Polar Bear Kit. Designed to be used with this handy video tutorial, Sock Polar Bears are fun to make for sock animal enthusiasts and crafters of all ages, and the kits make great stocking stuffers.
