Art Therapists unite for New Jersey
Thanks to the energy, enthusiasm and excellent organizational skills of Operative Dynamo Gretchen Miller and her 6 Degrees of Creativity Art therapy Community, nearly 200 sock monkeys were distributed to Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey in January and February of this year. Gretchen collected sock monkeys from operatives all over the US and even a batch from Operative Extraordinaire Lizzie Belloto in Italy and sent them on to Art Therapy partners working with the Boys & Girls Club of Hoboken and the New Jersey Parent Teacher Association. As you can see, the effect was pure joy ! Thanks to the other contributing operatives for this project Diana Brugos in Toronto and Darcy Guenette, Auntie Lynn and Kat Thorsen and Intersections Media in Vancouver, BC.
