You can buy a sock monkey sponsorship that will send a friend to someone in need. In exchange, you will receive a colourful card that explains the project and what your donation will support.
These make great gifts and can be customized with a personal message and the Sponsor’s name. The sponsor monkeys are made by local crafters in KwaZulu Natal region as part of a poverty alleviation program.
All sponsorship proceeds go to directly to the crafters, many of whom have little source of income. Sponsorships act as a double gift, providing a means of income to those living in communities affected by HIV/AIDS and psychosocial support to those bereaved.
Sponsorships are available in the amounts of $20 and $50.
