Sock Monkey Mitzvah
On March 3, Ronnie Schoen will celebrate her Bat Mitzvah and she’s invited OSM to the party!
As part of her Mitzvah, Ronnie is collecting donations of socks, sponsorship money and other monkey-makin’ supplies for OSM. Inspired by her Aunt Meri’s holiday efforts for charity, she took her Mom’s suggestion and checked out the Craft Hope book. It was there that she connected to the cause.
“When I read about Operation Sock Monkey, I knew that I wanted to give this charity more than a holiday gift. OSM really connected with me and I wanted to make a difference in these kids’ lives.”
And that she will. The supplies and support that Ronnie is collecting in honor of her big day will help to send comfort and smiles to children in Africa, Cambodia and India. When she isn’t crusading for charity, walking her dog Mitzi, or being big sister to her sisters Brynne and Mandy, Ronnie plays soccer and enjoys dance and gymnastics.
Ronnie, you are a wonderful young woman whose generosity and craftivism will be felt at home in Maryland by your family and friends and by many others around the world. Mazel Tov!
